on some secondaries, they ask what year i took a specific course. Amcas has it a wierd way though. A fall of 2005 they would call S1 2005 and a Spring class of 2006 is an S2 2005 (since its S1 and S2 of the 2005-2006 year).

What do i put for secondaries if they ask me when i took a spring course. Do I say 2005 since its the second semester of the 2005 year and thats how amcas has it or 2006 since it was technically the year 2006 starting the spring?

Thanks

I would use the actual season. A Fall class should be "Fall 2005" and a Spring class should be "Spring 2006." Despite AMCAS's method, this is the most logical way.

What about when they just ask for the year and only give space for four digits?
