Several programs I applied to have not sent rejections to me, yet it seems that their interview dates are rapidly approaching. Do programs just not even bother to tell you that you've been rejected? 😡

Sloan
UNC
Michigan
Wake

Has this happened to anyone else? It seems completely unprofessional.

OK, i will answer my own post in case anyone's interested (and I'm bored right now). Michigan told me they had "too many applicants to send out rejections." This seems like complete crap - how many more applications could Michigan have gotten than any other program that sent letters? Height of unprofessionalism. I also called Sloan today; it was their last interview day (what a cheerful coincidence!) and they just have not sent the rejections out yet. Trust me they're coming. It's darkly funny that I've actually gotten to the point where I THANKED the coordinator at Sloan for sending rejections. UNC and Wake both rejected me shortly after my original post. They just don't know what they're missing. 😀

not surprised. when i applied for an elective at sloan last summer i had not heard back for 2 months after i sent in the application at which point i said f*ck it and withdrew my application. they do what they wanna do.

Ditto on that experience. I have met a few people who, through "incestious school realtions" were granted interviews. Although anyone could accuse me of sour grapes, any program that opts to inbreed will produce children who are less than fit. Prediction: in the next 5-10 years I see some huge changes in the way people rank the programs based on prestiege. This helps more forward looking programs like Beaumont to make leaps and bounds. I don't think this problem is unique to radonc, however particularly acute because of the limited number of spaces.
