Medical What's the difference between T10-20 students and others?

Hello,
I was wondering what the differences are between students who get into T10-T20 vs other medical schools from your experience?

Under what context?

I’m wondering if there are key experiences/extracurricular activities that allow students with solid stats to get into higher raking schools? Or are there lack of experiences that prevent this from occurring? Or does it just come down to the ability to create a narrative and make a case for your admission?

I'll also say that in general, demonstrated commitment and passion for the profession is a hallmark of most successful candidates, as is a true knowledge of fitting with the educational community. But people who go to the top schools are not inherently better than those who do not.
