How low the first MCAT score should be so there is no point of retaking it? I heard of someone who got 6 on VR, 1 of PS and 2 on Bio. I do not think that since the person bombed the test it would make any sence to retake it. Let me know if I am wrong. I have no idea how she did though becasue if you answer "C" or "B" on all the question, you still would get more than that.

It seems like if someone did that badly then she must have had some sort of personal problem going on. Maybe a panic attack? Felt really sick? If something like this happened, then the scores don't indicate anything, and she should definitely retake it.

She said that she jsut ddecided to take the test and to see how it was without really preparing to it. However, I see the possible explanations for the AdComms.

Perhaps its a result of aniexty...

or perhaps your 'friend' should study harder next time...

I am taking it in April, and I have been studying for months, and I still dont know anything, but I am still taking it since I think the experience would be valuable to help me de-stress for the August exam since if I miss the target on the august exam from stress, then I have to wait another year, and that would be enough to get me committed

I think I would actually be discouraged from taking the MCAT again if I took it just for experience and without any preparation. When I took the MCAT, the first thought that came to my mind was that I would never ever EVER take this damn test again even if someone held a gun against my head. I didn't care what my score was going to be, I just wanted no more.

•I do not get it why would people do something like that. If you are not ready why do you take the test? •••••Please do this. Encourage everyone you know to do this. It's a curved test. The more people who do poorly, the higher the score the people who really prepared will get!

QB]••••Hmm...we should start a pool and pay a bunch of non-science people to take the test!

BlameItOnTheNurse: I don't know who you are and I did not mention the names. Just tell me the state where you are living at and we will start from that.

He or she probably left a lot of questions blank.

Secondly, a lot of people take this test with no preparation and do fine. It really depends on the individual.

Thirdly, and I do not mean any offense at all, but your grammar and syntax indicate that English is not your first language (or it is but you are typing extremely quickly and not paying attention to what you are writing). If the person you are talking about also has limited English skills, that might play a role in his or her low score. The MCAT is, obviously, in English and therefore English skills do contribute to a person's ability to do well.

That being said, I would not discourage anybody from taking the test just because they did poorly once. So everyone go out and take the MCAT!

RNA ladder...
i am from Antartica...land of the cruel cold MCAT..
Dude i was kidding about that being my score...i am livin it up in O-town (orlando, fl)
BIOTN

On my first Princeton Review diagnostic, I got 1-2-1. I am not kidding.

But I had good reasons. 1). I knew literally NOTHING (forgot everything from undergrad); 2). I thought that you get penalized for guessing incorrectly, so i did not fill in the bubbles for questions I didn't know (which was like 90% of the questions)

Those of you who do really poorly on the first PR diag, please do NOT despair. I went on to get a 27, then a 30 on the real tests. But I did work really really hard to catch up with others.
