Hi,
I keep getting a general impression from threads that the University of the Pacific is an incredibly competitive school to get accepted into. I was wondering why this was the case? Their admission statistics (DAT, GPA, OOS) seem very mediocre...

If you have no idea what I am talking about and think I'm going crazy, just let me know.. I just wanted to clear it up because this notion seemed very reoccurring to me..

I even remember somebody saying that in terms of admissions competitiveness in Cali schools:

UCLA>UCSF>UoP>>>>>USC..

I know UCLA and UCSF are harder to get into than USC.. but predents.com shows me very similar admissions standards for UoP and USC..

I think it is so competitive because I believe it is a 3 year program...

I understand that.. but I was wondering why I felt like people thought it was impossible to get into.. predents.com stats show that its admission statistics are quite mediocre
