Do you really like to deal with kids in a dental office? Eventually I learned that in my practice, but I never learned to like it. I certainly preffer endo

most of the girls in my dental school used to peak up in pedo,mother intincts play a great rule here,i couldent manage a child honesly without bribing him or threatening him that i will not take him/her to the zoo.

Thanks for voting, it seems trend is more towards endo than ortho.
Do you think females are more inclined towards endo than Ortho or Surgery ?

There is no way to draw any conclusion, but it was just a thought, as number of female members is much higher than males on this forum.
No vote for oral medicine, oral radiology, TMJ and DPH, so far, interesting, TMJ / Pain is second on my list.
First : Surgery, Surgery rocks !! Don't you think ?

Where is Dental Anesthesiology??? Its an exclusive specialty- pedodontists, Oral surgeons and may be other specialists too require a dental anesthesiologist..
Other choices not included are Implants, Aesthetic/cosmetic dentistry..

I thought Implants was associated with Perio.....?

I am not aware of a program (master's or certificate) in Implants, ofcourse fellowship in Implants does exist.........

My aim was to restrict it to ADA accredited specialties.
I added Oral Medicine and TMJ, as these two, I think are widely accepted.
Dental Anaesthesiolgy is too exclusive specialty (sck- can you pm me/or post good link for this specialty ?) .
Implants, Aesthetic/ cosmetic are choices, but not well defined ( and ofcourse not accredited) specialty programs. Though I am aware few schools started these programs/fellowships recently.
Other choices, which I haven't included are,
Dental Materials, Oral Biology, Oral Sciences, Forensic Odontology ( what else ?).

What all exams are to be taken in this regard.? I am from India..
