Just curious, When did you all decide on your plans of Medical School? During High-school? Undergrad? Years into another career? How did you tell everyone the news? What were their reactions? If you could go back, would you have done anything differently?

6th grade. I went to a high school geared for the sciences. It would've been a huge surprise to everyone around me if I had chosen a different field.

"I'm gonna be a doctor! Yeah! Gonna go to med school after I graduate from undergrad"

You see them 2 years post grad... "So... are you in med school?"

answer:
1. "Yeah!"
2. "Uh... I didn't get in. but next year!"
3. "I decided to do X instead..."
