Schools set their own deadlines (to file AMCAS). For regular decision, they range from Oct 15 - sometime in Dec.

whenever you feel ready...make sure whatever year you do it in you do it as early as possible in the process (eg june?). also realize once you're accepted some schools allow you to defer a year.
