If someone was to take the MCAT in Summer 2013, how long would that score last?

How many cycles would I be able to use that score? Is it only 3 years after the year?

I'm too lazy to look up the actual answer.

But I'm pretty sure your MCAT scores are technically still valid for a couple years longer than they most schools will accept them.

IE: Scores valid for 5 years, but schools won't accept older than 3.

Anything older than 2 years will probably be used negatively.

It's school specific. I've seen them considered anywhere from 2-5 years old.

what do you mean by "negatively?"

i am also taking mine July of 2013 (in two months), but I am not applying until June of 2014. This shouldn't be a problem for any schools, right?

So if someone was to do it after Sophomore year, would it be a good idea?

An MCAT from 2013 can be used for the 2014 & 2015 cycles, right?

I thin the score would expire in 2016, but then again I don't think most people, god forbid, would end up going for a 3rd application cycle

most definitely for june of 2014, but i am not sure june of 2015

if you take the MCAT june of 2013 and you apply june of 2014, then not a single med school should have a problem with it. but if you apply june of 2015 with a june of 2013 MCAT, then a few picky school might not show you any love.

at least that's what i think

I think it should be fine with a 2015 cycle even if its from 2013..

2015 is when the new MCAT has just come out recently,
I'm not sure how long med schools would continue to accept the older scores for, but it should be fine for that year... What do you think???
