I'm thinking way ahead here but I appreciate you all humoring me. I've seen a few jobs, such as working as an RMO/P in the Foreign Service, which require a certain number of years post-residency before you are eligible to apply. They phrase it:
"Applicant must have a current board certification by the ABPN and have a minimum of five years post-residency clinical experience in adult or child/adolescent psychiatry with at least 50% of the applicant’s time involved in direct patient care during the last five years."
If, hypothetically, I were to fast track into a C&A fellowship after three years of adult psychiatry, would my "post-residency" clock start at PGY-4 when I'm technically in fellowship rather than residency, or would it not start until later?
Thanks for any insight.
