When is app submitted to the schools?

hey peoples:
When does our AMCAS application actually get sent to the schools where we applied? My app says that everything has been processed, but no transmission date to schools. Anyone?

July 1st according to the amcas website.

Yes, I sat on hold for 15 min. with AAMC today and they will be making our apps available to schools on July 1st. I guess I missed that on the website, you'd think I would have seen it since I look at the stupid website everyday. Obsessed anyone???

what if we just sent our thing in on the 24th when scores came out? you think it'll still get sent out then....? i know i takes a while for them to verify it all

Last year, none of my schools downloaded before the 2nd week of July (that may have been when they were first available), and some waited until the end of July. Also, there are some schools that use AMCAS but don't receive the applications electronically, and those schools take longer to get your app. You will be able to see when you log in which schools have downloaded already.

I know for a fact of two schools that will not even begin downloading until mid July...

Where exactly on the amcas website does it say July 1? I looked and looked.
Don't fear lisa13579, you're not the only one who can't find it.

That doesn't mean that I don't believe you about July 1, I just want to know why I'm such an idiot and can't find it.

hey bolton...

i submitted my app july 12th and it was verified and processed on the 24th...
so i figure if u submitted on the 24th it wil be after the first before it is processed... but not too big a deal.

i looked again briefly and couldn't find it... last time it took me a while to find it too... sorry.. but im pretty sure its there... either way, lisa13579 confirmed it by calling AMCAS... so it's definitely true.
