When do you all think I will hear from these three schools that I'm waitlisted at. And do you think I have a good chance at getting in one of these schools?

1. Wash U
2. UCSD
3. Baylor (upper third of waitlist)

thanks everyone and wish me luck 🙂

I don't know what your stats are but I heard there are upwards of 1000 people on the waitlist at Wash U for about 50 spots...so I wouldn't expect anything from them. From last year, UCSD's waitlist usually moves late May through June.

damn more than a thousand people?
do u think people with higher stats have a better chance off the wash U waitlist?

I think definitely people with better stats will get in from Wash U's waitlist, but they also probably want to keep class diversity about the same, so they would select someone with a similar profile to whoever withdrew. That's just speculation from other people though, and if I'm wrong someone correct me. But I know they interview a lot of people and rarely reject anyone outright post-interview.

I would say any time from After May 15th to the beginning of classes. But that's just a guess... 😕

1000! I don't think they even interview that much.

so things aren't looking good at washU?
what do u consider "high stats"
would a 32 cut it =)

so you all think i don't have a good chance of getting off one of the waitlists? 🙁

I'm on 4 waitlists so I feel your pain. Do a search for people that had multiple waitlists last year at this time, almost ALL of them got in somewhere. Just search for all posts by a person and you'll see that they eventually got in...Just like what's gonna happen for you and me 😀

I really don't know. But the avg for Wash U is 36.6. And it seems that they are fairly number-driven compared to most other schools. But then, you must be a pretty impressive candidate to be interviewed by three awesome schools. If you are pulled off the waitlist, it will most likely happen during the end of May or sometime in June. After that, I would assume the probability decreases quickly. I wish you luck.

Yeah, I'm not sure if 32 is high enough but then if they interviewed you they generally consider you good enough to be accepted...

I'm interviewed at Wash U and UCSD, and have 1 more waitlist than you (see my profile). I'm hoping too that I'll get in somewhere, still confident actually, but also thinking about contingency plans for the next year.
