I'm applying to medical school this upcoming year. I'm taking an MCAT prep course starting next week and it runs until July 18th. I was wondering if it would be considered too late if I take my MCAT in late July (after the prep class)? Most of the medical schools I am applying to have deadlines in October/November.

No, I have a friend who took it in August and got in some nice schools.

I would recommend against the whole august mcat b/c even if u have superb stats ... you application will not be reviewed until septmeber (when ur scores come in) which means there are people with the same stats as u or better that are already ahead of the game.

With that being said, do n't rush the mcat for the sole purpose of applyin early b/c if u dont do well ... it wont matter if u applied in June b/c ur mcat will keep u out of the game

Take them only when your ready...worry about being an early/late applicant second to that.
