When should we worry?

ok, i have to admit that i am getting a little worried. i submitted 3 weeks ago (with my transcript and chairman's letter uploaded only yesterday and still one LOR to come) 6 interviews--all safety places. i've heard NOTHING from any of the manhattan programs! Ahhhhh! is it still early, or should i rightfully be freaking out?

Just kidding, I only have 1 interview of 17 (UCSF) and feel very comfortable that the rest will come after Nov 1st. From what hear from friends who did this last year, Medicine programs tend to wait for the Dean's letter, though there are plenty of exceptions, I guess we didn't apply to too many exceptions.

Relax, its still early...from what I hear many of the stronger programs don't send any invitations till everything is in... many places send emails stating this up front.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything from any Manhattan programs either - I got an interview at Montefiore, though. But it seems that, Cornell aside, the Manhattan university programs are waiting for Dean's Letters. NYU didn't even download my stuff until Monday, even though I applied 6 wks ago. I'm not the ideal applicant, but I'm top 1/3 at a top 20 school with a 245 on step I, so I'm cofident I'll get at least a few interview in Manhattan. Anyways, I wouldn't start to worry until November. Let me know if you get anything.

It's a bit early to start worrying. Some people get interviews in January.
Some of the places were probably also waiting for your final letters to come in. Good luck.
