This guys thread made me curious.

How many of us play videogames? When adcoms would ask me what I do in my spare time, I would tell them I like to play videogames. At first it made me nervous (I am 28, it might seem childish) but in the end I decided to just tell the truth. So the thread linked above made me curious, please respond to the poll to give me a rough idea how many of us are VG junkies.

what games do you play?

PC? console? just curious

Well, I own all three consoles. There are too many console games that I enjoy for me to list them all. But hands down Halo is my favorite, I love LAN parties.
On the PC I prefer games like Civ3 and Age of Empires, Warcraft 3 was ok. Also the free game distributed by the U.S. army (Americas Army) is a really fun FPS especially for the cost.

have a ps2 and a gba-sp. don't have time to play either, anymore. with tears, i watch my precious tech collect dust. i bought FF X2 a couple of months ago and haven't even turned on the damn console in about six weeks. i got midnight club 2 for christmas, and played it....once. just once. this process sucks.

What I do with my spare time?

Drink myself into oblivion.
Pay my bills.
Watch too much goddamned tv.
Rock back and forth... slowly.
Get a pedicure.

All of which won't go down well in an interview, so I'll probably tell them something nice, like "I rehabilitate feral cats..." or something equally as treacly.

Can't wait for the sequel.
And at 19 bucks... not bad.

but then again, perhaps thats why they call me Mr. Reddly instead of Dr. Reddly 😱

Circuit City had BG&E for $10. I beat the Neutrophils factory but my system keeps on acting up. The fighting is fun, but the sneaking around is not so fun.

Considering the fact that the game came out in November and dropped prices so quickly, I don't expect a sequal. Supposedly the North American sales have been pretty dismal. 🙁

During extended holidays I play PC and GC games. Unfortunately havent had an extended holiday in a while.

$10 ?!? Oh man. Oh well. Got mine for the GC. Heard the PC version had a bunch of bugs.

Neutrophils factory? Then you haven't done space flight or nothin! 🙁

I think you're right. I think part of the issue might have been the cheap cost turned people away... looked at it and thought must not be any good. But those French are trixy (god I loved Mountpelier. Best darn city in the world). They have the engine, and can use that for similar type games... It's more that type game that I love.

I also loved the game cuz it was short and quick, kinda like a movie. Just when you thought it was getting familiar... BOOM, they add something new! It didn't get bodded down in stupidity for ever... 'find x key to y lock, repeat' or 'aim, shoot, repeat'. As for the sneaking, I just killed everybody. NO SNEAKING FOR ME!... My fav part (I think you got there!) was when you're running on the building tops with people running after you... It was right out of the Matrix... hmmm... Time to turn on the TV and pop a certain DVD into the machine 😀

I now return you to your regularly scheduled SDN broadcast.

Oh, I can't stand killing them...it scares me so much when they know that I'm there.

Yeah I have the GC version. BG&E was such an incredible deal. The engine for the game, JADE, was the original engine for the new Prince of Persia game. However, they decided that the engine wasn't good enough so they went with some engine developed in Shanghai. This game has such incredible art and music that any graphical flaws really don't matter to me.

Ya know, this is an interesting question. Especially in regards to video games. Always enjoyed them, but never had much time to get deeply into them. (oh i miss the days when i can spend days playing Final Fantasy..haha)

Anyway, i was fortunate enough to find a position with a reputable institution that is making a widely popular game. In fact that institution is the United States Army.

I help them test, and develop their game/public relations tool; America's Army. I actually wrote the manual for the game, among other things i do for them. Sadly, havn't had much time to play the game hehehehe. Priorities🙂. But the good news is, i made some good friends with the senior officers. I've been working for these guys since 2002, so had a lot of experience with this type of stuff in addition to the other random things i do.

I used to play Counter-Strike on the PC all the time. Extremely addicted. Was in a competitive clan and everything, it was really fun. And then, I realized that it was my downfall as far as GPAwise. I haven't played it in a long time. I wish I had time to play it, but I don't 🙁

I live with a videogame addict aka my 25yr old bro, and even my 20yr old sister is one, so even if i didnt care i was forced to 🙄

I talked about being a sports fien, and a b-ball junkie, and writing poetry, made very interesting conversation, cause my female physician interview played college b-ball 🙂

In my interviews, I talked about how I like to play sports and read in my spare time.

I occasionally play Xbox with my brother, and I have to say that my favorites are NCAA Football and Splinter Cell.

I used to play a variety of video games on the PC, PS2, and GameCube. But now I only play one game. I am so freaking addicted to Final Fantasy XI! I've even got my wife addicted to it (which wasn't a brilliant idea since we only have one computer!). Now I never go to bed before 3am cuz I'm staying up playing this game. It's a very good thing that I only need one of my classed to graduate. 😀
