When trying to get a school to match financial aid, should I show the email from the other school?

I received significant financial aid from school X and want to see if school Y will match it. When I reach out about this to school Y, should I name school X and also show screenshots of the aid that school X is offering via email? Or is it enough to simply state what school X is offering?

Some schools will ask for documentation while others won't, particularly if they don't intend to match it. Why offer something before it is requested?
