I am from CA. I have been accepted to 2 schools so far but I still have more interviews to go and I don't know where I'm going yet. Should I be applying for loans right now? I get my loans from FAFSA right? Is the deadline for CA March 2nd? (I checked the FAFSA website and it said "California - For many state financial aid programs – March 2, 2015 - date postmarked." but I don't know if this applies to med school loans).

Most med schools have their own deadlines for FAFSA, which are usually later than the March 2nd deadline.

For many schools you will have to submit both a FAFSA for federal Stafford/GradPLUS loans and likely their own proprietary financial aid application to figure out how to disperse their own internal awards/scholarships

Fill out and submit your FAFSA ASAP. Only takes less than 15 minutes, not including the time it takes to gather your documents.
