I have been searching the internet very heavily trying to find a legitimate dental volunteering opportunity. Do any of you know where I can find some dental related volunteering (in the southern California area)? I am very serious about this and would be willing to volunteer 4-5 hours a week for the next year or two.

If you can show me some good links that would be great.

Thank you

Contact some local dentists- they will know if there are any free or reduced fee community dental clinics in the area. Also, ask someone at Loma Linda or USC.

I'm not from the area but I just googled- free dental clinics southern California and found these links:

Here's a nonprofit startup idea that could land you a spot at HDS: found a student organization on your campus dedicated to reducing incidences of improper dental care in the third world. I highly recommend partnering with a village to produce dental sticks that remove plaque without requiring a clean stream of running water. PM me if you need startup/501-c(3) advice.
