New information:

The policy in place right now is not intended to be permanent. The mega-thread was implemented because immediately after the vote there were at least ten newly created threads related to it. It is our intention to get back to the normal policy as soon as possible.

It should be noted, however, that pre-allo is not necessarily the appropriate place for these discussions in the first place. While we generally tolerate a few off-topic threads, more appropriate places in this case for healthcare reform threads are Topics in Healthcare or Sociopolitical Issues. We encourage users who wish to create new threads on the topic at this time (and in the future) to post there.
