currently my overall GPA is 2.78 im a 2nd semester junior
I started off as a molecular biology major
and received C/C+s in pretty-much all my gen chem classes
Switched my major to Applied Health Sciences
I got a C+ in a summer session of Ochem I then retook it and got a B-
I dropped the lab so I still need to take that
Took anatomy I (for the first time ever) and got a D+ -- retaking it next semester
This current semester (grades aren't out yet) I am not taking any science classes but I have straight As
I still need ochem II and Biochem (?) and Physics I and II
This summer I am taking Physics I at a junior college affiliated with my school, my advisor said it is a good idea
I am in NO RUSH to apply to med school. What should I do to make myself a more competitive applicant grade wise?
I also have professors (who don't know my GPA) that I work with closely telling me that I would do great in grad school.
Some say retake gen chem classes ... some say keep going in upper level classes.
I'm lost. Good advice would be much appreciated.
