Since I am applying for US shools this coming cycle, I am wondering where do the Canadians end up after dental schools in US? Do most of them stay and work in US until becoming a US citizen?

A lot of them stay in the US. It shouldn't be a problem.

As a Canadian I will be moving to Washington State (Seattle area), but its close enough to my family (Vancouver,BC) I can return any time i please. I applied for extended Student status, with employment eligibility called OPT. Once you have a job offer, you can apply for an H1 visa.

most of those in my class returned to canada. from what i understand dental school admission in canada is ultra competitive so the ones who don't get in come down here for school, then return home since that's where family, roots, etc are. dental practice is about the same as down here, and pay is comparable.

If you work in Canada, you can make your money twice as fast and when you've saved up enough, you can come back to the US and buy that Enzo you've been eyeing for half the cost. Win-win situation;)

    1 US $ = 1.10792 CA $
    1 CA $ = 0.902606 US $

    Today's rate.

Unless dentists earn way too low, earning should be comparable? What is the median earning of a dentist in Canada? Of course I know things costs way more up there.
