Where/How can I get vet experience in Southern California?

Im a non-traditional student just barely starting to get volunteer hours in vet experience their senior year of undergrad. I have looked online and used the resources on my campus to find places that accept volunteer where I could possibly get vet experience and I am coming up short can anyone help point in the the possible right direction?

Call around to vet hospitals in your area and ask for the hospital administrator. Tell then you are interested in coming in once or twice to see what it's like. If you enjoy the clinic and think they enjoyed having you, ask to come a few more times. Don't try for a long term commitment until you've been there at least a few times or you're almost guaranteed to get rejected.
