I'm starting to plan mine, and was wondering what the rest of you will be doing....

What a fun question?

I love to think about summer vacation plans as I try to get through my fourth essay of the day. (I hate finals!) Anyway, I will be going to exotic rockville, MD for the summer. I am going to try to earn money and decrease the amount of loans I have to take out. Of course I would rather be backpacking through Latin America!

We're having a family reunion at the Jersey Shore. I'm staying in Cape May, my favorite vacation spot as a child. Now I get to share it with my children. Love going back to Jersey!

I'm going to Israel! I'll be working 40 hrs a week, but my sister is planning to take me around the country on my days off. She is going to introduce me to some of our relatives there as well as her friends she's met throughout the country. And, right before I leave, we are going to trek down to the Sinai peninsula to spend our last few days chillin on the beaches!

I got the mega-mega trip starting tomorrow...thanks to my friends mom who works for Continental Airlines (free tickets).

Me and four friends go Salt Lake to New York to Tokyo to Bali (Indonesia) then to Houston then to the Bahammas. Trip lasting one month.

So I guess I'll post again in mid June.

Bali is phenomenally beautiful. You can get massages on the beach and fresh fish cooked for you as you watch the waves sitting on the seashore. You will be sorely disapppointed when you arrive in Houston after spending time in Bali. 😀

Sorry JohnM I will not be working at NIH this summer. I am just going to be crashing with my older sister and working as a receptionist. I am excited for the mind break especially after these finals. They are killin me.

Also, I just want to say right on to suz177 for going to ha-aretz! I wish I could go.

How much does this suck: I'm writing my masters dissertation all summer. It's due in September so I have to submit early depending on IF and WHERE I get into med school. Errrrrrrr.

That was my vacation spot as a child too! I used to love going to Cape May Point and look for Cape May Diamons (there is that sunken ship about 300 yards out to sea there). Also, when I got older I liked it b/c it was close to Wildwood. Man, I got such a smile when I read your post. The Jersey Shore is a great place for a kid to spend a summer.

As for me, I have to finish up my MS thesis by the end of July. So, I'm going to take the last week of May and use a family member's timeshare in Saint Maarten, solo. I've never traveled alone before, but I think it will do me some good to spend a week on the beach, snorkling, colada-ing, reading, thinking...etc.. I'm looking for a little self-reflection before I start medical school. I would love to go with my girlfriend, but she is finishing up her dietetic internship and cannot get away at all this summer, which is too bad b/c it would be nice to lay around the beach with her for a week. We will be going to Mendocino CA for a wedding in August, which will be a lot of fun. We'll get to see some friends that we haven't seen for a while.

I'm going to England. All of my family except my parents live there and I haven't seen any of them in 4 years so I am very excited. Then I am going white water rafting in West Virginia, and the rest of the time I will spend in Michigan with my parents. Only two more months of work left!

4 days in Houston to visit a college roomie and relatives, 1 week in Boston with college friends. 2 weeks in MALAYSIA! 2 weeks in HAWAII with my boyfriend. WOO HOO! 😎 Have a great summer everyone,... y'all have great plans! maybe except for the MCAT person...we were all there last year (and perhaps the year before as well). Dream of the NEXT year and you'll get through it!
