I've been looking for stats on unmatch rates for 2001 for US MD grads, and I cain't fahnd sheet!

I've looked on the NRMP website, which appears completely useless. Any other suggestions? Medschool.com used to have some from previous years, but now they appear to have gone the way of the dodo. . .

I looked for them in vain a few months ago. I don't think they released that information this year for some reason.

Hi,

Go to <a href="http://www.scutwork.com." target="_blank">www.scutwork.com.</a> There is a link to unmatched programs for 2001. You might find what you are looking for there. Hope this helps. 😎 😎 😎

Yes, I agree this year the UNMATCH rates haven?t been released I don?t know why.
One thing are the unfilled positions and the other thing are the UNMATCH rates for each specialty.
There is some information in the ERAS web site in statistics, but there isn?t any other source.
Again I CAN?T UNDERSTAND WHY, it?s very useful information.
Hope this helps.

I think the stats used to be posted on the NRMP and medschool.com, but is not available anymore. It may still be hidden on the web somewhere. If anyone finds it, please let us know.

I found this website. <a href="http://www.mdtool.com/match.html" target="_blank">http://www.mdtool.com/match.html</a>
I'm not sure if those are for 2000 or 2001 unmatched rates.

For ER, I found: <a href="http://www.saem.org/inform/match.htm" target="_blank">http://www.saem.org/inform/match.htm</a>

Enjoy! 🙂

Thanks, Voxel. Those are indeed 2000 unmatch rates, the same ones that used to be posted on the medschool.com web site. You can tell b/c the statistics ARE available for all the early match specialties (N-surg, ops, neuro, etc) at the sfmatch website (sfmatch.org). Comparing them shows that neurosurg had, for example, a 21% unmatch rate last year (2000), but significantly lower (like 9% or so) this year.

The sfmatch has great stats for all of their specialties, including the number of fmgs, average board scores, the current trends (increasing or decreasing competition) and all sorts of cool stuff. However, for the NRMP specialties, there is ZIP (that I can find) for 2001. I'm going to ask our Assistant Dean. If anyone else knows where to find this, please post.
