So I've been searching for days looking for individual threads with recommendations about which hotels to stay in for interviews, and I thought it would be helpful if it were all in one place.

All input is appreciated. :)

I'll start just by listing a few schools and people can add/amend the list as they see fit.

Thanks.

Here goes:

Albany:
Columbia:
GW:
MCV:
Mt. Sinai:
Northwestern:
Pitt:
Stanford:
Tulane:
UCLA:
Yale:

P.S. Nooooo, I don't have interviews at all these places, just aiming at a comprehensive list.

All of the above: Student Hosts. Cheap (free) and fun. --Trek

Great idea for a thread, it's a shame it wasn't here earlier. I'm adding the GW Inn...I plan to stay there for my interview, since it has been recommended on other posts. I'm also including travel info.

Albany:
Columbia:
GW: George Washington Inn, take Supershuttle from BWI
MCV:
Mt. Sinai:
Northwestern:
Pitt:

UCLA:

Thanks for the input guys -

Trek: the night before interviews I really need to get my thoughts together/relax and I don't think I'd make good company, so I'd rather not stay with student hosts. I do however, always make sure to talk with friends or other students at the schools I'm interviewing to make sure I get a real feel for the school, but I don't want to impose on their living situation.

Doc Foxy: thanks for the GW info, I'll be there this week, so the info is really helpful. Do you know how far the GW inn is from the MD school?

Everyone else, please help fill out the list.

Thanks again.

I've heard that the GW Inn is a block away although it's a lil expensive.

Super Shuttle's number is 1-800-BlueVan. (thanks to SDNer vyc for that info!)

Good luck :D

Oh why not... I'll add my two cents. I stayed in Chicago for 5 nights and the best rate was at the Seneca... I booked through Orbitz.com and they gave me a rate MUCH lower than what Northwestern listed on their website. Also, the room was AWESOME! It was virtually a studio apartment, with a full kitchen and everything! I definitely recommend it for anybody headed for downtown Chicago. <Also, it's about one block from the med school, so location was great also... Right next to the Hancock building!>

I think the original poster was looking for HOTEL reccomendations, unless we can all stay with your family at UCLA or in your dorm room <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

I haven't gone yet, but I booked a room at the Days Inn in Lebanon, NH - a short ride from Dartmouth (they say rougly 10 minutes). The cost was about $59 plus tax.
