Burn-out. When you've focused on a medical career for so long, burn-out is not uncommon. She's now pestering law students.

No doubt. Thank goodness for all the people who contributed their time and energy in helping her understand the intricacies of being a surgeon. Her level of committment was plain to see.

i'm still right here...haven't gone totally into oblivion.....I still post here and ask Q's........and no, I'm not pestering law students....

Oy! now theres the GeneralTSO I have come to know and love....🙄 😛

Once upon a time as an MS-IV I rounded one morning in the ICU on a bad ETOH withdrawal that the ICU nurse had spent all night sedating so he would stop flopping around and finally got him to sleep around 5:00 AM. As I woke him up to examine him she warned, "Never poke a sleeping weasel."

I think that aphorism should have been applied to lurking owls as well

Wow, that's impressive. At the County, unit nurses would just scream at you, "Don't you be touchin' the patient or else I'll break my foot off in your a--."

Ah... Thank God for the existence of greener pastures within the City of New York.

Ah. There's Beetlejuice!

Did OwlMyste bring locusts upon your land, bring a plague upon your house and kill you first born? It seems like everyone is whispering "damn OwlMyste is still alive. Why has my God forsaken me?"

Do younger posters just generally get kicked around in this forum, cuz I'm younger than she is.

I'm tempted to write the lyrics of the song I'm listening to, but it doesn't realte to anything...so I'll just leave you with

:clap::clap::clap::clap:

I wish I could find a rockin' guitar smiley!

Are you sure about that? I think she's mentioned before that she was way older than your average high school student. Like she would be graduating college right about now.

The average American High School Student graduates at age 18. I am age 19. theres no way in hell I could have graduated from college already. as the one who supposedly majored in mathematics as an undergraduate, you of all ppl should know that!

Delvonik,

I think it's just that we like you better than Owlmyste.

Look at all those posts!!! You're a total veteran (and not nearly as annoying). By the by, what song were you listening to?

And you're graduating high school this year?

In any event, I didn't say that you were "way older" as a matter of fact, but that I *thought* you were. See the difference?

And, yes, I do have a degree in mathematics but my ability in arithmetic is horrendous.

Furthermore, why is there "no way in hell" you could have graduated from college already? In fact, there was at least one kid in my graduating class in 1999 from NYU that was 18 or 19. I guess, then, New York is hell. 🙂

yea, there's the Child Prodigies who graduate from college in record time, I wasn't including them. they only represent .000001% of Americans. the rest of us graduate from college at around 22-23. notice I said your "Average" American. 😛
