Got home today, and a big envelope was waiting. Always in proper premed-mode, I was telling myself that it could still be a rejection, until I saw the magical words "we are pleased" through the envelope window. I had imagined my reaction would involve some screaming and dancing, but I just had a grin on my face for 10 seconds, then greedy thoughts about getting in at my #1 began seeping in. Anyway, Hooooah!!

If you don't mind me asking, when did you interview at Drexel....I interviewed there on the 15th of March (I know it's only been like a week), but just wondering when to expect an answer.

well, to be fair, the email made it sound like getting in was no big deal and they really wanted me to apply for their scholarship, which i thought was going to require money of some sort. that and the fact that they didn't mention the name of the school until the third paragraph (no school name was included in the ID or the subject line either).

Yes, but it wasn't it a big packet or anything, so my expectations for GWU's letter weren't that high. I think VCU's notice was more gut wrenching:

"Here is the information that you have been anxiously awaiting. While we regret that we are unable to offer you a place in the class immediately, we are pleased to advise you that you have been placed on our alternate list."

...I only had a minor heart attack. 😱
