Which diuretic decreases sodium ion recovery at the distal convoluted tubule, retains calcium and dilates arterioles?

Bumetanide
Hydrochlorothiazide
Indapramide
Amiloride
Torsemide

I chose hydrochlorthiazide.

I chose hydrochlorthiazide.

Is it not hydrochlorothiazide?

That's actually a very tricky question considering the topic is so straight-forward.

Obviously that is a thiazide (or thiazide-like) diuretic description.

So we'd expect both hydrochlorothiazide and indapamide to carry out virtually the same functions.

I had read somewhere that thiazide diuretics mitigate peripheral vasoconstrictive effects, whereas thiazide-like diuretics (indapamide in this case) aren't known to have that same effect.

I would go with hydrochlorothiazide.
