I'm a final year med student from India and I'm applying for a clinical elective later this year. I don't really have an issue about which subspecialty I choose this elective in as long as its related to internal medicine. I want to know which the less sought after ones are that i would have a better chance of getting into. Also, is it wiser to choose say, the VA or community hospital associated with the school rather than their primary teaching hospital?
