Hi,

I am new to SDN and I have a question regarding which hospital volunteer experience I will get the most out of:

Surgical Waiting Area Volunteer: Our job is to answer questions and concerns family members and visitors may have and to keep them updated on the status and location of the patient. We also bring visitors to the recovery room to see the patients.

Nursing Unit: Volunteers will be placed on assigned units and may visit with patients and help with any concerns they may have. You may also help the nursing staff with blood, labs, telemetry, chart copy, distribution, etc.

I was not sure if the "Surgical Waiting Area Volunteer" would count as clinical experience and was just wondering which would be a better experience for me. Thank you!
