Which is better for taxes sign on bonus or stipend

I am offered a sign on bonus dont know which is better for taxes taking it as monthly stipend during residency or sign on bonus.

Likely monthly stipend as you'll be in a lower tax bracket during residency no matter what, as long as the amounts are the same overall.

Are you PGY4? Try to get them to give it to you before the end of the calendar year. This will minimize the amount of taxes you pay on it, as you'll (hopefully, unless you've been moonlighting a lot) be moving to a higher tax bracket next year.
