TPR Gen Chem and Physics is pretty darn good.

the best way to figure out which is better is to call and see if you can sit in on a lecture. Unless you are good and getting info from your textbooks, have a great teacher can make a world of difference. I saw craptastic teachers for both TPR and Kaplan.

Definatley the teacher makes a big difference. Otherwise your wasting 1600, when you could buy the books for a lot cheaper, and than study on your own.

TPR will give you your full refund back at the end of the 4th class if your not satisfied. Not sure abut Kaplan.
