Which is easier to get into: Community based or University based residencies? (not including Ivy league)

In general what is "less competitive" my step 1 score is a 211. US AMG (Wayne State Med, would like to go out of state for residency though) I'm interested in EM, IM- heme/onc, pulmonary, and cardio. Thank you!

EM is going to be the exception here...some of the most competitive programs are county/community programs (e.g. Cook County, LAC, Carolinas, etc.)

211 makes it difficult, but not impossible, to match into EM. Those folks can probably help you more directly on specifics, but in general community/rural mid-west shops are the least competitive programs.
