Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. This is my first post. If there is any mistake, please let me know, I will fix it. So I want to know which medical school should I apply to. Or what range. Here is some of my information:
-CA resident
-Asian(Chinese)
-Came US in 2012 to start college
-MCAT
first time: July 2017. 501, C/P 129, Cars 120, B/B 128, P/S 124
second time: Jan 2018. 510, C/P 131, Cars 123, B/B 129, P/S 127
Third time: Jun 1, 2018. I was hoping that I can increase my cars score but felt that is less likely so I void my score.
-GPA (well I transfer from community college to UCLA, and I don’t know how to calculate my cGPA and my sGPA because I don’t know if the gpa in community college is equivalent to the ucla gpa, If you guys can give my some advice on that, I will be really appreciate.)
-while in community college, 2012 to 2014, I have an overall GPA was 3.96. It includes all my general education classes and most of my lower level science class.
-while in ulca, 2014 to 2016, I took two lower level biology classes plus all my upper level science classes. I majored in biochemistry and applied math. My ucla gpa was 3.72.
Extra curriculum:
-I did tutor for 1 year in community collage. Be a vice president of a math club for 1 semester. And volunteer at a Buddhist medical center for 3 months.
-In ucla, nothing was done because I was busy with my double major.
-I did 1-year transcriptionist following a OB/GYN doctor from Mar 2017 to Mar 2018. (document patients information and doctors diagnose while the doctor see patient.)
-I plan to do research in the coming year, 2018-2019.
If you guys need more information to help you judge please let me know. Thank you very much!
