 Been accepted to a couple of schools but these 3 seem to be more reasonable ,Which one do you think is a finer choice and why? I would apreciate your feedback and info (negative or positive),or even maybe some of you are students in these institution and can share your experience or point of view. thanx

    Xenos,

Personally, I would drop Temple so you can create a space for me!!! Yes, that is right, I strongly recommend you to drop Temple's acceptance and create a seat for me!! Alright, maybe I'm just kidding, but out of the three choices, I only have personal experience with Temple!

My feelings for Temple is ALL positive and if you want to find out why, just do a search under my member # or type in the word Temple for a search!

If I had to choose, I'd pick Temple! You may ask why......BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!!!

Good luck, we maybe classmates next year if you choose Temple! Remember, you can always drop Temple too if you wish! I won't hold anything against you, I promise.

Only school that I will cross off is Creighton, as they don't interview their candidates, so basically, they don't really know their students till they join the University, so thats a big negative.
Also Loma Linda is pretty expensive, so that will be my second choice. Also the living expense is going to be a lot more than Philly.
Temple, heard a lot of good stuff about it, so will choose that as the first choice.
Its just my opinion though, so I hope I haven't offended anyone with it.

I'll go agaist the steam here and give my strong recommendation to Creighton. When I was at the interview, that someone mistakenly claimed they didn't have, i was extremely impressed with their facilities, the volume of patients they saw, and how they went out of their way to tell me what they loved about their school. Two students told me they had so many patients, that some had to be put on waiting lists. This is in stark contrast to what I heard from other schools, like BU and Tufts, where the students talked about paying potential patients in order to fill final requirements. As for the perio dept having probs, the rumors were likely started on this forum a year or so ago by one lone pre-dent and the actual periodontal department chair informed me that they have no problems whatsoever in the past 15 years he's been on the faculty there.
I don't know about the local surroundings at Loma Linda, but you would have no problem walking to your car at creighton after dark, and your car will still be there when you arrive.
I would suggest to anyone wanting to set up an interview or tour the campus, call the school directly.
Hope to see some of you there in the fall. Good luck.

I'll second the nomination for Creighton. I think it'll be my top choice when I apply later this year.

Their clinical education is superb -- you'll graduate knowing what you are doing!
