Texas beat USC...so I'd go with UT Houston.

Austin beat USC,but in the great words of Paul Wall and Mike Jones..'Texas is the home of the players and ...", so I will side with Texas ,Houston.

Would have to go with UT-Houston and UMASS; both are state school programs that often tend to favor their own residency grads come fellowship time. Tough call between the two though; depends on where you want to practice. At UMASS, 7/8 applicants matched in Cards; however, all 7 matched east of the Mississippi, and 6/7 in New England.

Avoid USC if you're interested in cards... They only matched 2/10 who applied for cards last year... Abysmal if you ask me considering how they brag that they're going to be a top 15 institution blah blah blah... The reason I was given for this poor showing: "cards is competitive no matter where you go." 🙄 I guess it must not be so competitive for UCLA residents who went 9/9 last year...
However, it seems to be a solid program for those interested in pulm-critical care or heme onc with much better fellowship placement.
