Which schools care about legacy?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Not entirely sure it this is helpful, but I know a couple of the secondaries to schools asked about family ties to the institution. Creighton comes to mind.

Barring that, I would imagine schools that sell Subarus outside of the Impreza lineup.

How many places are you a legacy of? You can't pick where your relatives went to school haha

Is there any advantage if my sister went to the same university's medical school which is affiliated with the dental school I'm applying to?

The only reason they ask about legacys is so they can check how much money theyve donated

Definitely SIU if you're IL resident

I would imagine with any school if you have a legacy such as an older sibling then it would provide some benefit (assuming they did well) as the faculty will have some familiarity with what you could potentially offer them as well. You are an investment for them, so if your sibling did well then they may be more willing to trust you over someone completely unfamiliar to them assuming your stats and interview go well.

At least this is what I tell myself if I get an interview at VCU lol.

Your DAT score could help as well 😉
