hi

i have heard rumors that certain schools dont accept canadians??? would you guys please be nice enough to give me the names of those schools (so i dont waste my money applying!!!)

thanks

For what program/residency are you applying to?

Ortho? Surg?

look at the schools prerequisites?
many american universities don't accept foreign students (yes, canadian is foreign)... just look it up on their websites and there's always a little star with something that goes along: "due to the patriotic act, we cannot accept non-us citizens"
good luck

hi
actually most of the schools say they acccept canadians....but i heard when the time came to accept or interview some choose to not take canadians.....its kind off a non-written rule.....just wondering if people who go to those schools or who have heard of this could tell me which schools
thanks

Its actually called the "patriot act". In any case you should NOT have a problem for Endo or Ortho. In fact many Ortho programs will accept international board exams in place of the NDBE. 👍

do you have any idea which programs dont require canadians to do nbde exams?

Do you know which schools accept Canadian boards instead? I was not aware this was ever the case. Thanks

While some ortho programs state they "may" accept a non-US board your best to consider taking the US version. You should contact programs that your interested and they will let you know if they accept the Canadian board. I knew a long time ago of hand which ones did so, but forgot. But I do know it exists..... Oh Canada! 👍
