I applied last year and was rejected. HA! I was rejected from a school that didn't even enroll a class the year I applied.
Oh well. Just another boost to the 'ole self esteem.
According to my rejection letter they got over 700 applications (I guess they felt I paid for that bit of info with my application fee 😛 ). That seems steep to me for a school that was not accredited and still has not enrolled a single student.
From what I understand they interviewed a few students and guaranteed admission to 30 for Fall 2006 from the Fall 2005 applicant pool. They say they will enroll 70 in the fall which leaves 40 spots(thanks to my Kaplan PCAT math review section 😉 )
It's all a bit curious with A&M to me, but I guess that's to be expected  Gig'em 👍

I think so many people applied just b/c students are starting to apply anywhere in Texas considering how competitive it is to get into a pharmacy school. Some of my friends apply there last year cuz they had hoped that not too many people would know about the school and how organized/professional it is there. I guess plenty of other people may have thought the same thing.

Whoa! that's kinda scary. I don't know if I should save my money or go ahead and apply anyway. I know not all the 30 candidates that they guaranteed admission last year will still be waiting on them, but it sure will limit the number of new applicants they will accept.
Just out of curiosity, what was your statistics last year, maybe it will help me decied. Thanks

We probably have the same friends.
Oh well..........it just goes to show that it ain't easy no matter what!
You try to pounce on an opportunity and everyone else has the same idea. 😎
Oh, and to add insult to injury, they raised their app fee from $50 to $100. And this was after their accreditation was rejected!!!!!!
God bless Texas! They got us by the juevos.
Gig ‘em Aggies!!! 👍

Biology degree from University of Texas.
3.4 GPA
80 PCAT
So, I guess that puts me in the shallow end of the deep shark-infested waters. Hence the constant rejection.
What they don't know is that I'll be back again and again and again.......
I'm the old man and the sea, baby. 😉
