What are your motivations are towards wanting to become an osteopathic physician?

I chose DO over MD because I feel the education is more primary care focused. I also see how poorly we treat musculoskeletal disorders in traditional allopathic family practice, as I currently am a physician assistant. I was accepted to both MD and DO programs, but will without regret be starting a DO program in Texas in the summer. I will undoubtedly be either going FP or emergency medicine, where DO's consistently get plenty of residencies.

Being able to provide comprehensive care to a patient.

My attitude towards my patients would not be reflective of the school, DO or MD, that I would go to. I would still have the same belief system.

But if I were to go to an MD school I would be lacking some training that I feel will prove valuable in the future.

Plus, I've heard that nurses really like D.O.'s.
 Make your own assumptions.
