Why does air trapping lead to hypotension?

What's the rationale?

Increased intrathoracic pressure compresses the Vena Cava, reducing the amount of blood getting to the right atria. Decreased preload leads to decreased BP. Similar Mechanism to tension pneumothorax and hypotension caused by placing someone on a ventilator or CPAP/BiPAP
