Does anybody know if the AOA has a response to the new ACGME rules? Are they considering adopting the rules for AOA programs? I know many friends in AOA residencies that are working 90-100+ hours with crazy call schedules.
In my opinion if ACGME programs comply with the new rules (big if), then I think AOA programs will become much less competative if they retain the crazy hours.
