I am a non traditional student. I have been an RN for about 3 years and decided to go back to school to become a physician. My question is, on my application would listing certifications like ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, or CCRN as "achievements" on a medical school application help my application or will it not matter much?

These certificates are not going to make you a more desirable med school candidate. Adcomms will assume you have whatever training nurses need to do their job in a given unit. If you want to list them, it won't hurt you, but you'll have to explain what most of them are given that pediatricians and internal med docs won't necessarily be the ones who review your application.

It won't hurt you, but in the era of interprofessional collaboration, showing that you have some additional health certifications can make you an interesting candidate to help bridge the siloed students of nursing with medicine. Knowing what nurses do should help you articulate their value to your peers.
