I searched the forums and could only find forums specific to MD, but how many of you wish you've gone MD or PhD only instead of the combined program?

I searched the forums and could only find forums specific to MD, but how many of you wish you've gone MD or PhD only instead of the combined program?

As an FYI, the vast majority of the posters in this forum are either premeds; preclinical med students who have yet to do their research or rotations; or grad students who have yet to do their rotations. So there are only a handful of us who have gotten through all of the above and can try to do this kind of hindsight analysis for you.

We're not all MD/PhD students, either. In my case, I did separate MD and PhD degrees and wish I had done them in combination. It would have saved a lot of time to get me to the same point. (Currently in my last year of med school and applying for residency.)
