Is this forum for wishful thinkers?
I have been browsing through this forum for over 6 months now. I don't think I have seen a thread which may have ended in an actual swap. Most threads are looking for swaps that others swappers cannot fulfil.
I see some threads have been viewed over 400 times but no one has found a swapping parter. I fail to believe that all these threads are what others are not looking for.
Also noone seems to know what the swap process is like. Do we have to fill a form that gets us out of our contract first or we can swap with the contract still valid?
Also what is the time frame for getting out of a matched position?
Has anyone gone through this process or are we all wishful thinkers without any real desire to switch but just to toy with the idea of switching.
I am currently doing a TRI and am matched into pm&r but really would like to switch to anesthesia or Er. I am interested in doing a fellowship in ICU.
