Seriously, after what I went through my first two years of college, I can't believe I'm actually in the process of applying. Man, back then even THINKING about applying was impossible. Well, let see how it goes from here!

Just sent my first to Jeff last night. I am sending my second today to Mayo. (crossing fingers) Hope everyone gets into their first choice.... unless your applying to the same schools as me then hope you get in after I do.

You guys are sending in your secondaries so soon?? When do your committees send the LORs?

My committee doesn't send LOR until september. Do I still need to stress on these secondaries so soon?

either way, might as well send them out now, cant hurt you, and you'll avoid the mad rush later on

amen to that. Having a desk full of secondaries to fill out when the school year starts is NOT a good thing.

how long was it from the time you got your secondary to the time you mailed it out??

is it going to hurt me to hand it in like 2 weeks after i get it?

So schools wont penalize you and trash your LORs you sent to them even if they didnt send a secondary to you first right? that would suck... that is unless they screen before sending secondaries and you werent gonna get one anyways?

my advice is to drop everything and do the secondary as soon as it comes in. Pretend it's tennis, and you just have to keep hitting good shots back across the net..otherwise you will be snowed under with secondaries and won't know where to start.
