Work activities?

Hello,
i have read all of the posts on how to write your work/activies part of your application but I still have a question. For activities or work that aren't one of your meaningful activities, should you still list what you learned and what you took away from the experience or simply keep it as a straight description?

I tried to have a sentence about what I learned/took away in each.

For one of my activities I am putting that I went to an underdeveloped country to help with medical issues. I did it over spring break, what do I put for hours? I was there for over 8 days so should I do 8*24? But we only did about 8 hours of work a day for 5 days so should I put 40 hours?

You should only list the time you actually spent doing the activity (40).
