The question is how many hours of volunteering do I need?

I'm thinking of getting a job to help pay the bills, but that would require me to cut back my volunteering to ~4 hours per week.

So basically, would only ~4 hours per week, but for a couple of years suffice as clinical experience for medical schools? Or should I forget the job and volunteer more.

Manual labor counts as something to adcoms don't they? :p

Def go for the work. You've already consistently volunteered 4hr/week for several years, and that's more than enough. It's not the hours, but the duration. Plus, volunteering extra hours will not get the bills paid, right?
