Basically, I want to talk about how working with an ostepathic physician a few years ago influenced me to apply to schools that teach osteopathic medicine. However, none of my LOR from physicians are DO's. So, if I mention this physician, it would raise questions about why I do not have an LOR from them, which worries me.

And the reason why is because I asked for my letter a few years after I had left that practice. I reached out to them multiple times and never got a reply. At that time, I did not know what interfolio was either. I already had enough LORs to continue without them but I knew this would be a problem eventually.

So should I mention working with this physician in my secondary or should I leave it out? I wrote about other experiences but leaving out that I worked with a DO physician feels risky

Hence I wanted to ask for an opinion.

At some point in your secondaries you'll be asked about your exposure to osteopathy. Then, that's where you stayed about what you did with the do you work with.

Not having a deal letter won't hurt you, having one always helps. You'll be fine.
