I was just wondering if I could put working in my parent's dental clinic as part of my med school application?

You could list it as an activity for sure, but it won't hold that much weight unless you did something meaningful.

Yes. Any employment listed tells us how busy you were. If you worked with the public, dealt with people in pain or who were ill, handled money or were otherwise trusted, it's even more beneficial (so be sure to be specific about those things).

And BTW, whether you earned a salary or not, it was Employment, as you were compensated in other ways, like food, clothing, a home, and perhaps educational expenses.
